Hello,
I am at that stage of life where different ideas are fascinating me. A strong urge to be a part of something bigger has roped its seeds. A question continuously echoes, "what are your own views regarding things?" To try to deal this question, I have decided to write down this blog. It may not be perfect, but it is atleast something and more importantly, something of my own.
I have considered the "general compartment" of our Indian Railway as a last resort to travel but recently had to travel in it. This time it didn't seemed that annoying. It felt like viewing the world through different pair of glasses. It is said, the world is the way you see it.
Unreserved class travel shows you what reserved class doesn't. The true character of people shows up when they are put up in adverse conditions. So lets see what I saw that day.
There were a few others, seated more than comfortably but reluctant to share it. These are the same people who would become abusive & belligerent when it comes to them. Adversity has revealed their true character. This again made me think, how can we expect the things to be better if we can't empathize with others. But the positive aspect is that, these comprised only a handful of the lot.
Then, I caught attention of an old man, trying to find place for his family & after settling them down, was looking out of option for himself. I wished he could find some place for himself. I thought to myself, am I being too emotional. Afterall, one cannot get everything one wished for. This is the way life is. Soon, a station arrived, some seats got vacant and the old man helped himself & again there were new ones looking for vacancies. I smiled to myself, this was lesson 2. "You may not always get what you want, but be patient, opportunities will come & you will have to help yourself then,"
I think have written enough for a first timer and will talk about educational aspect later, may be some other day.

As I had boarded from the origin station, was seated comfortably near the window. As the journey progressed, people began outnumbering the seats and even some sat on the floor. I was observing those seated on floor, there face wasn't tensed nor were discontent. They were smiling because atleast they will be reaching their destination and more importantly, they have their family beside them. I started extracting life lessons from them. " When you have a destination to reach, journey may not be pleasant but that should not bother you if you are heading in the right direction & have your loved ones with you." Then a thought struck me, these are not that educated like me. Probably if they would have, they wouldn't be smiling. They would not be at such ease. Probably creating chaos for the resources and everything wouldn't be that smooth. This stirred in my mind, thoughts, regarding need of education & what education should actually comprise. Will come to this later.
